Our History
During a trip to Grenada in June 2019, the McMillan sisters participated in the Read Around Grenada program and read to students at one of the primary schools. The program
ended at lunchtime and the sisters noticed that only some students were being provided food from the kitchen. After further inquiry, the sisters learned that the lunch is provided only to the students who could afford to pay a small fee. At that time, the sisters decided to assist the students of that school any way they could.
Our Mission
Because We Care Foundation wants to ensure every child is prepared to learn and succeed in the classroom, by providing free school supplies and nutritious meals that promote healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and wellness practices.

- Kitchen Upgrade Project
- Gathering funds to provide kitchen equipment, such as refrigerator, stove, large pots, and utensils to schools.
- Bridge the Gap
- Working directly with schools to provide items the government cannot supplement through their feeding program, such as fresh vegetables.

Jennifer has a strong calling to serve the cause of children living in poverty and possesses a deep faith in Jesus that informs her entire life.
Jennifer also has an extensive breadth of expertise in accounting and auditing. She holds a degree in accounting and multiple professional certifications. Jennifer experience as an auditor for more than 25 years has given her the ability to recognize risk and identify the controls in place to mitigate that risk. Her experience as an Audit Manager have prepared her to organize and manage according to plans. In addition, her responsibilities include overseeing processes, making recommendations on policies and ensuring that the organization is in compliance with its obligations. Jennifer’s dream growing up was to become a teacher, and therefore she also serves as a teacher in the Children’s Church at the Seeds of Greatness Ministries, Inc.
